Official League of Legends Soundtrack Released, Get it on iTunes or Google Play, or Download It for Free

For a free game, “League of Legends” offers a lot of value – it’s no accident that it’s one of the most popular games on the PC market, and its popularity is growing stronger and stronger with each update. And the developers seem quite good at handling their relations with their fans as well, as they like to give out freebies occasionally, such as the recent announcement that the first edition of the game’s soundtrack has now been released, and is actually available as a free download to everyone!

The compilation includes 15 tracks from the game, some new, some old ones, and they’re all free for download for anyone interested in checking out Volume 1 of the soundtrack. Players can get the album through iTunes, as well as Google Play, although it’s paid on those platforms – but the official website also offers a free download, so players aren’t actually required to pay anything.

Music has always been one of the game’s strong points, even though not many players pay attention to that aspect of it. “League of Legends” has been about gameplay first and foremost, and that’s what most players are looking at, but the great art and music certainly help to make the overall package even better.

Riot Games are expected to release even more similar goodies in the future, as they’re already reportedly working on a second volume of the game’s soundtrack. There’s also a documentary about the creation of the soundtrack, titled “Frequencies”, which can be an interesting watch for those who enjoy making music, games, or a combination of both – as well as to creative-minded people in general.

The game has been evolving very well, and even though it’s been occasionally in the middle of some controversies, it’s overall one of the most successful titles on the PC, and representative of the platform as a whole with its success. It’s one of the games that popularized the concept of eSports and brought it into the mainstream, and it’s also a title that has managed to make competitive gaming accessible to people who normally wouldn’t have given it a second look.

But of course, it’s not just enough to have good gameplay, the game has to be supported through auxiliary means as well, and releasing free goodies like its soundtrack is definitely one of the best ways to keep people interested in the title, as well as draw new player to it on a regular basis. Keep an eye out for more interesting releases from Riot, especially when a major competition is coming up, as then Riot are particularly careful with the hype surrounding their game and like to keep it high.
