The Lumia 520 measures 119.9 x 64 x 9.9 mm and weighs close to 124 grams while the 530 measures 119.7 x 62.3 x 11.7 mm and weighs 129 grams.

Hardware:

The Nokia Lumia 530 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset while the Lumia 520 features a less powerful 1 GHz dual-core processor that is based on Qualcomm’s MSM9227 chipset.

Nokia Lumia 530 utilizes Adreno 302 GPU along with 4 GB of built-in memory that is expandable up to 128 GB and 512 MB of RAM. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1. The Lumia 520 features Adreno 305 and is capable of expansion up to 62 GB. It is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 too.

Camera:

Both the Lumia 520 and 530 feature 5 MP primary cameras, although, the 530 lacks autofocus, which is present on the 520. None of these smartphones features a secondary camera.

Battery Life:

The best part about the Nokia Lumia 520 and 530 is that both these smartphones have user replaceable batteries, which means that you do not have to visit an expert to get the batteries replaced, in case of an emergency.

Both the Lumia 520 and 530 pack in a 1,430 mAh battery each, which lasts about 10 hours on constant 3G usage.

Price and Release Date:

Nokia claims that the Lumia 530 will be close to $115 excluding taxes and subsidies, which is still cheap considering the rivaling products in the class.
