With the advent of the smartphone era, manufacturers are engulfed in a rat-race to attract the maximum number of customers by offering the best features as compared to the rivals. Nokia is not far behind on this either.

Both the Lumia 520 and 530 feature rounded edges and a curved rear panel that is suited to better grip. Even though both variants are available in a multitude of colors, the palette on the 520 is much more vivid.

The Nokia Lumia 530 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset while the Lumia 520 features a less powerful 1 GHz dual-core processor that is based on Qualcomm’s MSM9227 chipset.
Nokia Lumia 530 utilizes Adreno 302 GPU along with 4 GB of built-in memory that is expandable up to 128 GB and 512 MB of RAM. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1. The Lumia 520 features Adreno 305 and is capable of expansion up to 62 GB. It is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 too.
Camera:
Both the Lumia 520 and 530 feature 5 MP primary cameras, although, the 530 lacks autofocus, which is present on the 520. None of these smartphones features a secondary camera.
Battery Life:
The best part about the Nokia Lumia 520 and 530 is that both these smartphones have user replaceable batteries, which means that you do not have to visit an expert to get the batteries replaced, in case of an emergency.
Both the Lumia 520 and 530 pack in a 1,430 mAh battery each, which lasts about 10 hours on constant 3G usage.
Price and Release Date:
Nokia claims that the Lumia 530 will be close to $115 excluding taxes and subsidies, which is still cheap considering the rivaling products in the class.
The Lumia 520, on the other hand, is available for $88. It is presently on sale and has been for quite a while too.
