‘No Man’s Sky’ Release Date Pushed 2 Days Earlier; Game to Come Out on August 10

Gamers awaiting the release of “No Man’s Sky” were irked when it was announced last week that the game would be delayed for at least two months.

The disappointment prompted some players to send death threats directed at Sean Murray, the developer’s founder with others pointing out that the studio had six years to create and perfect the game only for it to end up being delayed.

The worse part was the release dates of the game will be staggered from August 9 in North America, August 10 in Europe, and August 12 in the UK.

Recently, PlayStation revealed a bit of good news especially for its UK players to appease the intense situation.

Breathecast reports that UK gamers will be enjoying the game at the same time as the rest of Europe because it will now be released on August 10 instead of August 12. The game will still be released a day earlier in North America.

The confirmation came from PlayStation UK’s official Twitter account saying that the release date for the game in the UK has been pushed forward by two days.

In the tweet, PlayStation UK broke the news that they were able to push the release date two days earlier after negotiating with retailers.

Ardent gamers said that this is great news because there’s a lot a player can do within the two days that will put other players ahead of the pack.

The game being released two days earlier matters greatly because some fans have already planned their strategies even as the game has yet to be released.

“No Man’s Sky” is an adventure survival game developed and published by Hello Games. The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows platforms.

The gameplay of “No Man’s Sky” is built on four pillars — exploration, survival, combat, and training. Players are free to perform within the entirety of a procedurally-generated deterministic open universe, which include 18 quintillion planets.

Players take on the role of a planetary explorer in an uncharted universe. They are equipped with a survival spacesuit with a jetpack and a multi-tool that can be used for various actions throughout the game.

A player also gains materials and blueprints to upgrade their character’s equipment and purchase a variety of starships, allowing them to travel deeper into the center of the galaxy and survive on planets with a hostile environment.

Visually, the game is so detailed, which explains the hype the game has created and the increased anticipation for its release.

Reports say that “No Man’s Sky” represents a vision of a broad, attention-grabbing game that Hello Games has had in place since the formation of the company.

“No Man’s Sky” was initially announced at the VGX 2013 gaming conference. It was also mentioned by Sony during its press event at the E3 2014. It was then completely revealed during the same event a year after

The game was originally supposed to be released this month but was delayed to August because of some necessary tweaks the game still needed to undergo.

In a post on the PlayStation developer’s blog, Hello Games’ founder Sean Murray explained that some key moments in the game still needed some extra polishing to bring them up to standards.

He says that it was a tough choice to announce the delay and apologized to gamers who were really expecting to get their hands on the game this month.

With regards to multiple death threats that he and Jason Schreier received, he answered it in good humor and told gamers that he understood where their anger is coming from.
