Meanwhile back in Mystic Falls, it looks like the upcoming season of “The Vampire Diaries” is gearing up for a whole lot of change as well. For one, Stefan and Caroline’s blossoming romance will finally be in the limelight. Hollywood Life reports that the relationship of Wesley’s Stefan and Candice Accola’s Caroline will be delivered in stages on Season 7 to which Steroline fans rejoiced at.
Damon will also be dealing with Elena’s loss this season and although Bonnie and Damon’s relationship could develop into something much more, showrunners hinted that it might take a while before Bamon happens.
Also, Melty reports that the latest season will focus heavily on the Salvatore brothers’ relationship. The two is known for their love-hate relationship due to their knack for falling in love with the same girl twice. But now that Elena is in deep slumber and Katherine is gone, it’s time for the two brothers to solidify their bond and what a better way to do that than to deal with problem involving another woman in their lives – their mother.
Season 6 introduced Stefan and Damon’s mother, Lily, who was presumed dead but came out and disclosed that she turned into a vampire and was trapped in a 1903 prison world because of how dreadful she was as a ripper.
During the finale, Lily found her Heretic family with the help of Enzo and implied that all hell will break loose on the upcoming season. “The Vampire Diaries” will return for Season 7, post-Dobrev, on October 8 on The CW.
