Just because two people are on a romantic relationship does not mean that they will also be singing beautiful music together professionally. Apparently, that is true with the case of female rapper Nicki Minaj and hip hop artist boyfriend Meek Mill.
They may be dating each other and seems to be hitting it off well as a couple, but working together professionally it is not always smooth, according to Meek Mill.
In a recent interview, Mill admitted that he and Nicki often argue about music and the type of moves that they are trying to make, especially in light of the pair’s upcoming tour.
He also disclosed that the music “All Eyes on You” was put together by Nicki. He said that his girlfriend did the song and it worked.
Mill also added that they rarely do rap in the studio together. He said that Nicki does the rapping on her own and he also does it on his own although he admits, he does not really like having his girlfriend in the studio while he works. He says that most often, he gets reckless and goes into his own zone.
The hip-hop artist is also not in favor of the media spotlight being showered on his relationship with Nicki, saying that he’s the type of guy who is not just into the media stuff. Although he admits that the media spotlight is part of being celebrities, details Hip Hop DX.
He also bared that he has never been public about his past relationships because he came from the trap and there are no media there. Mill also says that he does not like the media trying to predict or pre-empt his moves because he is the type of person who likes to do whatever he wants when it comes to his moves as a performer.
Payback
Meanwhile, Lil’ Kim gave Nicki Minaj some payback for the recent diss of the “Anaconda” singer against her made during the latter’s speech at the 2015 BET Awards held on June 28 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

But according to Lil’ Kim, who is a rapper, a songwriter, record producer, model, and actress herself, Nicki should thank her because she was the one who paved the way for female rappers to thrive. The Bad Boy rapper says that when hardly any female was in the rap game, she was already doing a studio album featuring mostly rap music. And that was nearly 10 years ago.
Despite not releasing any music for quite some time, it seems like Lil Kim will soon be back in action in the rap game.
After Bad Boy’s explosive family reunion at the 2015 BET Awards, Diddy announced on Twitter that the Bad Boy family reunion tour is now in the works. Once an official announcement of the date of the family reunion tour is announced, it is likely that Lil’ Kim will hit the studios soon to develop possible new materials that she would likely debut on the road for her fans to hear.
Nicki Minaj has yet to react on the response of Lil Kim, but fans expect her to make a rejoinder soon enough.
Transformation
Just like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj has recently undergone a transformation from her cartoonish character look previously to her current pared-down and more formal look.
The “Super Bass” singer attributes the change in her personal appearance and outfit of choice due to her recently -released third album titled “The Pinkprint,” which she says is very personal to her.
“The Pinkprint” was released in December 2014, which according to Nicki Minaj was her most personal piece of work yet because it included subjects or topics like teenage abortion, breakups, and use of painkillers, which she all had to go through during the early years of her life.
