A week after Beyonce formally announced that she is pregnant, expecting twins with her husband Jay-Z, singer-rapper Nicki Minaj pranked her fans by posting a fake baby bump photo of hers on Instagram.
Her fans went crazy over the internet after seeing the “Super Bass” singer’s pregnancy photo and it almost looked real.
Contrary to Nicki’s pregnancy post, it seems like the “Anaconda” singer was just fooling around and was having her fun on the internet.
In the photo, she was shown wearing a black laced dress, gently grappling her big baby bump that seems to be more than seven months already and thus, quite impossible to hide from the public.
Many had thrown comments, believing that Nicki was really pregnant. Others congratulated the singer-rapper but left wondering how was she able to keep it privately. However, the keener observers outrightly said that the photo was Photoshopped.
However, her caption on the photo also included the hashtag, “#ATBIMS,” short of telling everyone that it is really fake and she just had fun everyone is childish, that includes her more than 70 million Instagram followers who saw the post.
Nicki’s caption #ATBIMS actually means ‘All the b**ches is my sons, referring to the lyrics on her “Did It On Em” song.
As of this time, Nicki’s image post already has more than 600,000 likes and it has been reportedly making a noise on Twitter, as one of the most talked about topics on the platform. But it is certainly nowhere near the record of Beyonce’s pregnancy photo post which is now the world’s most liked photo on Instagram and is now listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Speculations suggest that it was the rapper singer’s response to boyfriend, Meek Mill’s recent claims about her being pregnant.
Days earlier, Nicki shocked the social media world when she announced that she and Meek Mill broke up. It came after rumors started swirling on the internet about the end of their romantic relationship.
The 34-year-old singer-rapper confirmed about it. And it was further validated by her ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, an American rapper and TV personality, who even celebrated the split of Nicki and Meek.
Safaree and Nicki broke up in October 2014 as reports claim that their sudden split was because of Safaree’s jealousy about Nicki’s great success in the music industry. The pair dated for years and Safaree even co-wrote several songs for Nicki’s two albums.
On the other hand, Meek Mill already made known his comments to Nicki after they broke up, as he made cryptic Snapshot posts that Nicki is indeed pregnant.
Meek Mill’s caption says, ‘I ain’t tell y’all bout her being preg… NVM lol,’ and cutting the word which obviously signified about Nicki’s maternity issue.
Nicki’s fans then became suspicious about Meek’s hint and it was widely talked about on Twitter afterward.
Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill’s began dating in 2014 following the decision of Nicki to feature Meek twice on her album, “The Pinkprint.” It was believed that it was her album which caused her break up with Safaree Samuels.
Then in January 2015, the rumored romance between the two started circling on the internet as they were seen cuddling and being cozy in a party which was later posted on Instagram.
Meek Mill subsequently confirmed his relationship with Nicki by posting a sexy photo of hers with a caption advising his followers to find a strong woman who is enough to help a guy take over the world.
Going back to the present timeline, the “Starships” singer’s recent post on Instagram sent her followers in a whirlwind of confusion. It was good that she admitted that it was just a prank and that she was simply having fun.
