It’s either rappers and hip-hop artists Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have called it quits as a couple or there’s a tinge of truth to the rumors going around that they never had a true romantic relationship at all in the first place.
Recent reports have been going around that the celebrity couple has broken up for good in light of cheating allegations on Meek Mill, especially after he recently posted on Instagram a woman in red lingerie and then subsequently pulling it down.
As if to further whet the appetite of his followers about the identity of the woman, Meek posted that he guessed that everyone was wondering who the girl that he posted recently was. Instead of naming the woman, the rapper claimed that it was confidential.
While it was sort of a tease to most, some critics have come to the conclusion that there may be some semblance of truth to the rumors that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill may have actually been in a fake relationship in the last two years that they have been officially linked together as a couple, at least on paper, that is.
A farce relationship?
This perception was further heightened when a woman, who claims to be one of Meek Mill’s side bitches while he was supposedly dating Nicki Minaj recently said through an e-mail to a celebrity news site that the relationship of the two was a farce.
She claimed that both artists have agreed to the relationship set-up as a publicity stunt, citing that Nicki and Meek have decided to contrive everything so that they can both make money out of it, reports the Inquisitr.
The woman, who has been insisting anonymity, has also alleged that Meek Mill had a number of side chicks other than her while he was ‘officially’ dating Nicki.
The lady further went on to reveal that Meek has also given Nicki a timeline of how their relationship was set to play out in the public in order to get maximum attention from the media.
She went on to claim that Meek spoke about Minaj during his alleged hook-ups with her prior to their recent split, alleging that the rapper told her that Nicki has an attitude.
While the authenticity of the email and the sender’s claims have not been confirmed, the emailer then went on to allege that she was told by Meek while he was publicly thought to be dating Nicki that she would be the only one, before revealing that he allegedly dated a number of other women while he was thought to be with Minaj.
A possible graceful exit
Some critics aver that the fake relationship angle could also be a way out for the relationship of Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill which have reportedly turned south as of late as the two were not spotted together celebrating New Year’s Eve like they used to even though they were both confirmed to be in the same city, reports Bossip.
Meek was also seen alone prior to New Year’s Eve in New York where he posted on social media several parties without Nicki.
Both rappers have not posted any pictures of Christmas activity together or gaudy presents that they usually exchange during the season.
Some are saying that the couple may have indeed broken up for good and are trying to keep it clean although these are mere speculations at this time pending the confirmation from either Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill or both.
The reports of their split and the alleged fake relationship issue both come as a surprise, because less than a month ago, Nicki celebrated her 34th birthday on a beach supposedly with Meek Mill.
Interestingly, Meek Mill was never in the photos of the social media posts made by Nicki that day.
On December 8, Nicki Minaj marked her 34th birthday. But instead of celebrating it a plush watering hole like most fellow artists do, she celebrated it via a beach vacation along with her boyfriend Meek Mill and some close friends.
However, her fans were not left out of her birthday celebration because she actually documented everything on her Instagram account.
