Imangi Studios has partnered with NFL Players, Inc. to bring endlessly-running NFL players to its upcoming sequel Temple Run 2. Few to name are quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick of San Francisco 49ers and Russell Wilson of Seattle Seahawks.
It is reported each week new players will be added to the game in this fall football season. Imangi is mindful in choosing the characters that will be added to the game and top athletes will now to join it, said co-founder Keith Shepherd.
He added further that the players who will be added to the Temple Run universe will be made available for purchase for a limited time period, but they will remain playable once purchased even after the end of the promotions. Gamers can buy from inside the app within the game for $1 and enjoy the NFL star powers fleeing the jungle to outrun the demon monkeys.
The new game is sequel to the original Temple Run, which has been downloaded more than 170 million downloads. It is available on most of the mobile platforms. The Temple Run 2 was much awaited and said to be better than the predecessor. As of now the second instalment has crossed the mark of 50 million downloads. It is available for free.
Apart from the addition of some NFL super powers the game also has improved graphics with greater vibrancy of colors to make ancient city look further appealing. The Temple Run 2 landscape looks more improved, equipped with more beautiful hills and more curved roads. Some waterfalls too have been added and everything has a very realistic effect. It is a bit different from the original Temple Run.
Gamers may notice some upgrades in the gameplay too. It now has sections containing mine cart and zipwire. Apart from this, coins in the new game can also be used for either upgrading to different abilities or unlocking the characters. However, there has been no change in the control mechanics. It comes with same swiping action for moves control.
If any character in the game meets with untimely end, gems can be used in restarting it. The gems can also be used for continuing from where the error has been committed.
Gems and coins can be obtained while playing, but it is to take note getting coins are easier than getting gems in Temple Run 2. The gems can be purchased with real money from in-app store.
The Temple Run 2 is sure to delight gamers as it encourages to get higher and higher score by paying real money. In the original Temple Run there was no such purchasing option.
