Last but not least, it’s also worth pointing out that Huawei seemed reluctant to share any information about their work behind the scenes when pressed, but they did hint at the possibility of working on a new product related to VR.
At the same time, they didn’t want to confirm nor deny that they could be working on something together with Google, and the wording of their response struck many people as odd.
According to some of their fans, the company should have no problem outright saying “no, we are not working on any Nexus product right now” if that was the case, as it wouldn’t hurt their reputation or that of Google.
On the other hand, if they are indeed tasked with the production of Google’s next big device, it makes sense that they would choose their words very carefully when talking to the press, and would be reluctant to give away anything specific.
Many fans saw that response as a roundabout way of confirming the existence of the device, so as we pointed out above, October is shaping up to be quite interesting for gadget lovers indeed. However, if it turns out that the rumors were actually false, the hammer could swing in the other direction and make fans remember this month as quite the disappointing one. Hopefully Google and Huawei know what they’re doing with regards to their PR talks, and won’t let their fans down.
