Then there’s “Marvel’s The Inhumans” to premiere on ABC, which is to be the third Marvel series on the network. Marvel and ABC overestimated the audience for shows primarily about humans doing heroic things, and are set to redeem the first two Marvel shows on the network.
“Agent Carter” was already canceled and the ratings of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” are tanking.
For a change, ABC’s upcoming “Marvel’s The Inhumans” series is about a race of super-humans, which make them in the caliber of super heroes, which today’s viewers prefer.
There is also the much anticipated “Prison Break” which is making a comeback on the small screen after its supposed Season 4 finale more than eight years ago on Fox.
Creator Paul Scheuring and stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell have signed on to return for Fox’s revival. The sequel will continue after season-four and totally disregard the straight-to-video movie that killed off Miller’s character, Michael Scofield.
There are still a lot more new shows coming to the small screen this year and it is expected that there will be some which will make it big and a lot which will be left on the sidelines as well. The ratings will be the main factor to dictate their respective durability on TV.
