A new promo art for the Warner Bros superhero movie “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been released recently featuring the three main superhero character of the movie including Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
Many of the millions of fans of the upcoming movie, which is due to hit global theaters on March 25, 2016, believe that the promo art is the preliminary step prior to the release of the first official trailer of the movie, which almost the entire world has been waiting for.
The promo art was actually called as a ‘trinity poster’ by Warner Bros and many of the fans who have seen it says that Ben Affleck’s Batman in the poster appears to be the best-looking Batman thus far.
Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot are also shown in the poster as their respective superhero alter-egos and the backdrop appears to be Gotham City, which is one of the places where Batman and Superman will have their showdown, details Venture Capital Post.
A promotional and marketing impetus
Reports have it that Warner Bros will be using the teaser poster as the key springboard for its promotional and marketing campaign for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” which would be augmented by the release of the official trailer very soon.
While there have been initial reports that the official trailer of the Warner Bros movie will be released during the NFL Super Bowl 2015 on February 1, that did not happen.
Subsequently, a report said that the trailer would be release on the premier of the movie “Jupiter Ascending,” but that again, did not happen.
Three release date options for the movie trailer
That leaves Warner Bros only three remaining options to release the official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The first one is during the premiere of “Focus” on February 25, which stars Will Smith and Margot Robbie, who will also play Deadshot and Harley Queen respectively in another DC Comic movie “Suicide Squad.”
The second option is to release the trailer on the premiere of “Mad Max: Fury Road” on May 15.
And the final and last option is to release it on the Comic Con 2015 event to be held in San Diego, California in July this year.
If Warner Bros will actually be looking at the audience impact of its official trailer for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the company would surely go for the Comic Con 2015 event in July. But if it wants to get its promotion and marketing going right away, there’s a good chance that it will release the trailer on February 25 with the farthest option being May 15 at this point in time.
Regardless of the date of the release of the official trailer of the movie, fans will surely be watching it with glee and excitement.
