The newest downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 was recently released. It brings with it new characters, various new karts, and the most vital aspect: New Tracks! Gamers have been quite positive with this latest update which certainly raises the bar for any future DLC packs to be released by Nintendo.
It will surely turn out to be true for the second DLC, known as the DLC 2 or the Animal Crossing X Mario Kart. The world is already aware of some of its leaked details which can be further used to fill in some blanks.
Firstly, a lot has been going on for the characters in Mario Kart 8.All of the newest characters have been already confirmed. The inclusion of a villager, Isabelle and Dry Bowser as the roster has already been confirmed. If you prefer the Animal Crossing games, you will certainly welcome this update.
However, you will be slightly disappointed if you wanted to see genuinely new characters from something else other than the title itself. Secondly, the next aspect with the update revolves around the karts. Neither of them has been confirmed yet. However, keeping in track with the formula used in DLC 1, we will most likely see an animal crossing themed car.
Speculations indicate that a couple of retro karts from other games will be made available. It will include the Parade Kart used in Mario Kart: Double Dash or any of the bikes from Mario Kart Wii. Anyhow, this is a good opportunity for gamers to notice a few retro karts and bikes from other games finessed to 1080p.
Thirdly, the latest tracks are what the gamers are excited about. As we have already witnessed, the Animal Crossing Theme course revolves around a hearty village along with some haunted woods. Most likely, a couple of new courses will accompany it like that of the ice planet.
Gamers could be subjected another nostalgia trip through ideas from other Nintendo franchises like Metroid and Star Fox. We may see a few remakes introduced with the other four courses for Mario Kart 8. For example, a Rainbow Road looks highly desirable at this point. Speculations suggest the release of the Game Cube Rainbow Road as it hasn’t been remade yet. At the same time, a full HD version is the only one to fit the course presently.
In other news, a Mario Kart 8 showcased in Japan seems to contain some controversial footage regarding a redesigned GamePad, hailed by some as the GamePad Lite. The device appears to be quite small when compared to the screen, with the bezel appearing substantially thinner. The analog stick also appears to be quite close to the upper part of the GamePad.
