All of this has been degrading the name of EA and DICE somewhat. EA are already a studio with a questionable reputation, but DICE used to be loved by all their fans. We don’t know if this current situation is going to smudge their name for their future releases, but it depends heavily on how they are going to handle the fallout from the disaster right now.
With most studios though, this kind of issue would have been addressed in a matter of hours, let alone days – and here, players have been forced to wait for over a week to get access to their new DLC.
In the end, there seemed to be little point in investing in the special edition of the game, as the DLC was still made available too late. Players could have easily waited for the regular release instead of spending their money on the limited edition in hopes of getting the new content sooner, and this might be what they will start doing in the future after this problem.
