New Dinosaur from Jurassic World (Jurassic Park 4) Appears as a LEGO Minifig!

LEGO are among the most popular toy manufacturers when it comes to striking deals for the promotion of various media, mostly films and games. It seems that the producers of “Jurassic World” have decided to try their luck with this as well, as one of the new dinosaurs from the upcoming film has just been revealed in the form of a LEGO minifig.

Some of the minifigs are actually close to designs that LEGO have released before, although with obvious modifications to bring them closer to the style of the film. On the other hand, there are a couple of dinosaurs which strike as noticeably new and different, and they could be seen as a nice preview of what fans are going to see in the movie itself.

The dinosaurs in question are a large-sized T-Rex and another white dinosaur, and they are both seem to be sized in appropriate scale, as they are quite larger than the standard human LEGO minifigs. According to the film’s director, the minifigs do indeed show a new dinosaur that will be featured in the movie, created by splicing DNA from other species. This brings the film’s story into a new area, where they’re exploring the theme of a corporation creating genetically modified dinosaurs for a financial agenda. It’s a slight departure from the theme of the original “Jurassic Park”, but that’s not to say that this is a bad thing.

Plus, this franchise has always had underlying themes that provoke deeper thought, so it’s not surprising ta at all that the new film will continue that trend and give viewers something to consider. Action and tense moments will still be the focus though, needless to say.

It’s interesting to note that the new dinosaur seems to be smaller than its brethren, which could mean that the fictional scientists from the film’s world have finally learned a thing or two about messing with genetics, and have realized the dangers of creating something they cannot easily stop. Of course, it could also simply mean that they have been unable to create a larger, more impressive dinosaur despite wanting to, but this will be revealed in detail in the film when it comes out.

Jurassic World

This is expected to happen in 2015, and there are still a few months away until the film hits the screen – but with the amount of information that has been steadily coming out from the studio, both in official and unofficial forms, it’s becoming quite obvious that the wait will be worth it, not just for dedicated fans of the dinosaur-themed franchise, but also for those who are about to see a “Jurassic” movie for the first time.
