Netanyahu Says UN Security Council Decision to End Israeli Settlement Building is Shameful, Might Gradually Bolt Out from the UN?

He added that he has already instructed to stop about 30m shekels (£6.3m) in funding to five UN institutions, five bodies that are especially hostile to Israel, and Netanyahu promises that there would be more to come. The Israeli leader did not name the UN institutions or offer any further details.

There were recent moves of the UN that seem to be considered as unpopular by known US allies. Apart from Israel, the UN seems to have taken sudden strong interest in the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines for his serious campaign to rid the country of illegal drugs and users.

Acting on the claims of politicians from the past ruling party, which is considered very close to the Democrats and the political party of President Barack Obama, some officials of the UN have made mention of supposed plans to investigate the Philippine president for the supposed extra-judicial killings in the country.

Such posturings of the UN did not suit well with Duterte which is why he blasted UN and its officials for meddling in the affairs of a sovereign nation like the Philippines.

What seems clear is that the UN does things in favor of the agenda of the sitting US President and his political party’s agenda so once Trump takes over, the UN will also have some guaranteed paradigm shift.
