‘NCIS’ Season 13 Will See the Jeff Goldblum of Naval Surgeons Saving Leroy Gibbs from His Gunshot Wounds

Filming for Season 13 of “NCIS” has begun even as the production crew are all keeping mum on most of the details of the show. The production people believed that having the show without Mark Harmon would make it really awkward so they are likewise optimistic that Gibbs will survive and will surely get his payback from Luke.

Despite being generally under wraps for now, critics and analysts believe that more details will be revealed about the show as the airing of Season 13 draws near. It is also expected that Season 13 will also have 24 episodes, which has become the norm for the show since its seventh season.

NCIS is short for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, a fictional team of special agents conducting criminal investigations involving the US Navy and Marine Corps.

The show was originally referred to as the Navy NCIS during its first season, but the ‘Navy’ was later removed from the title. By the time the show got into its sixth season, a two-part episode resulted to the birth of a spin-off series called “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

Five years later, in Season 11, another two-part episode led to the birth of the second spin-off series titled “NCIS: New Orleans.”
