What could this imply for the future seasons of the show – if there are any, of course? Are we going to see “NCIS” slowly chipping away at the humor and replacing it with drama and sad moments?
It might sound like a shocking development and something that would disappoint many of the show’s fans, but it would also make sense in a way. The show has been evolving and exploring new options for its development, and it may just be that the producers weren’t too sure what to do in the beginning so they were leaning on some “safe” trends.
And now, they’ve apparently found a style that works for them and are developing everything in line with that style. Whether or not this will work out well in terms of their viewer numbers, we don’t know.
But it’s true that there has been a lot of buzz about the production on the Internet lately, and it seems to be doing quite well in viewer numbers. Some of its older fans have already abandoned it, apparently, but that doesn’t matter so much if the final result is a show that will be remembered for a long time because it wasn’t afraid to take risks. Pretty much no good show on TV has lasted long without the occasional risk.
