NCIS Season 13 to Feature Return of Scottie Thompson’s Jeanne Benoit Character!

NCIS Agent Anthony ‘Tony’ DiNozzo, played by Michael Weatherly, will have to reconnect with his past when his ex-girlfriend Jeanne Benoit resurfaces on the show in its current 13th season.

TV Line confirmed that Scottie Thompson, who once took on the role of the daughter of an arms dealer under the guise of a doctor back in Season 4, is bound to head back to the Navy Yard, Washington and it looks like she’s going to be staying for a while.

Reports say that the 33-year-old actress will make her first appearance this season in an episode due in November and producers are in talks of having a huge story arc for her character.

It is still unclear how many episodes will Thompson appear in let alone as to why her character will drop by the NCIS headquarters but it looks like she and Tony will be forced to take a trip down memory lane especially when things between them were bittersweet.

Fans initially thought that Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David would be making a comeback. Ziva was introduced during the show’s third season and left after the Season 11 premiere.

Speculations were put to bed when writers and producers announced that Pablo will not be reprising her role this season. Ziva and Tony had a ‘cat and mouse’ relationship after the former was introduced to be part of the service.

Their love-hate relationship continued throughout the series until they start to develop and deal with Tony’s fear of commitment and Ziva’s trust issues.

Back in Season 4, Jeanne and Tony’s relationship was complicated to say the least. Their relationship was deemed serious while it unfolded during the season. That was until Jeanne, whose father was Rene Benoit a.k.a. La Grenouille, learned that Tony was actually an NCIS agent tasked to take her father down. This led to the couple parting ways.

Jeanne however, gave Tony a choice by asking the special agent to choose between her or his job. When La Grenouille was murdered, Jeanne attempted to pin the blame on Tony but was unsuccessful. Their connection ended when Jeanne asked Tony if what they shared was real, to which the latter gave a straight ‘no’ for an answer.

Regardless of how sour their relationship has ended, it seems like they have a lot of things to talk about when the former flame makes a comeback. Her reappearance might also affirm if their relationship was all part of the business for Tony back then.

To tease fans of her upcoming return, Thompson shared a photo of her and Weatherly on Twitter on the set. The caption suggests that the actors’ reunion was great, but fans will have to wait til November to see if their characters’ reunion on “NCIS” will be all smiles as well.

For her part, Scottie has been making guest appearances here and there as of late. The actress appeared in episodes of “Zoo,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Blacklist,” and “Castle.” She also made recurring guest appearances on “Graceland,” “Trauma,” and “Brotherhood.”

The 13th season of the crime procedural drama premiered on September 22. The season premiere dealt with the aftermath of Mark Harmon’s Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs being shot as well as DiNozzo and Joanna Teague, played by Mimi Rogers, flying to China to dismantle The Calling.

The CBS crime drama recently aired its third episode and it showed Sean Murray’s Timothy McGee and Emily Wickersham’s Eleanor Bishop go undercover as a military couple to find information on a Marine who was found dead. ncis season 13

In the third episode titled “Incognito,” fans were delighted when the characters, who are known to be long-time friends, shared a kiss to avoid getting busted from their cover.

The show’s fourth episode entitled “Double Trouble” will air on October 13. According to Christian Post, showrunner Gary Glasberg and Weatherly had confirmed that many special guest stars will appear on the American crime drama TV series this season.

  1. Every since Cote left, there’s always speculation as to whether she’ll be back. When I read about there being surprise guest, one of my guesses was Jeanne Benoit. I don’t get caught up in whether or not Cote will return
