Last but not least, it sounds like some fans of the show have been getting a bit tired of all the drama, and would prefer a more active focus on the actual crime fighting and mysteries that drew them to “NCIS Los Angeles” in the first place.
It’s true that we’ve been seeing some more character development lately, but this is not necessarily a bad thing for the overall quality of the show. Some of the characters have been getting a bit stale over the seasons, and they could definitely benefit from some extra exposition right now.
If this means that the other elements of the plot have to take a backseat for a little while, then so be it. If that’s what it takes to save the show in the long run and prevent its cancellation, we doubt many fans would mind.
It’s also worth pointing out that “NCIS Los Angeles” has actually managed to do quite well in the ratings department so far, and the show doesn’t seem to be in any real danger of being dropped anytime soon. Of course, this also depends on what the producers are going to do during this season, as there are already some questionable developments that have made people wonder about the next episodes. Whether their expectations will turn out to be true will become apparent in a few weeks.
