Fans of “NCIS Los Angeles” are going to have to take a break from the show for a couple of weeks, as the showrunners themselves have decided to have a brief pause. Still, nothing is wrong behind the scenes from the looks of it, so the show should be back on the screen in just a week. Until then, we’ve been seeing some interesting reports about the developments coming up in the next episode.
Nell Jones is going to get some additional development in episode 4 of the current season, after some discussions regarding who should be back in the spotlight to compensate for Kensi Blye’s upcoming absence. Fans have been wondering who the producers are going to choose to address this situation, and it looks like many are happy with the reported decision.
This means that we’re going to see more of Nell Jones during the next episode, and this could include some deeper moments of development for her character, something she has needed quite a lot lately. Fans were somewhat getting bored of seeing her in the same situation and environment day in, day out, and now we’re finally going to get some more varied moments with her character.
As for Kensi Blye, things are not exactly looking good for her. Some fans were hopeful to see the marriage between her and Marty Deeks soon, but it doesn’t look like this is going to happen, judging by the circumstances around Kensi. Hopefully the producers aren’t planning to put her through too much trouble though, as her character definitely has a special place on the screen.
There were even some theories going around that once Marty proposes to Kensi, the writers would pull off a fairy tale moment of her waking up from his love. Many called this idea absurd and too far-fetched for the overall tone of “NCIS Los Angeles”, and it looks like they were right.
After all the hesitation in the relationship between Marty and Kensi, it would be a shame to see things ending in such a way. Hopefully the writers aren’t planning any negative further major negative developments, although we wouldn’t be surprised if they want to take the show in a bit of a darker direction right now.
“NCIS Los Angeles” has been on the screen for a while now, and that’s just the current iteration of the show, putting aside the previous versions that came before it. Because of this, some fans suspect that the producers may want to take things in a new direction soon, and make things a bit more tense for their characters.
And perhaps unsurprisingly, many fans are apparently fine with this idea, claiming that the show could benefit from a move in a new direction, especially a more dramatic and serious-toned one. Of course, there is a limit to how much the followers of “NCIS” are going to endure the show taking on a new appearance, but gradually introducing these new themes definitely doesn’t sound like a bad idea.
After the show is back from its break, we should get a hint of that new darker theme in the very next episode. Judging by the previews we’ve seen for it so far, the producers are apparently planning to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible. That’s probably not a bad idea either, as the season is still in an early stage and it has a lot of potential for changes at the moment.
