While the show has been doing okay in ratings and viewership, some fans are apparently worried by the overall direction that the producers have in mind for it. The “NCIS” franchise as a whole has already gone through a lot, and it’s getting harder and harder to keep things fresh around it, but “Los Angeles” still manages to hold up nicely.
However, some of the developments in the show have been a bit too chaotic for the tastes of some fans, and the producers might want to turn the pace down if they don’t want to lose some viewers sooner or later.
And it might not be immediately obvious, but this is just as valid for the story around Kensi as well. It looks like fans would rather see a conclusion to her part of the plot, instead of waiting forever to see whether she lives or not.
As we said above, it’s possible that the producers are planning to keep her character around with the possibility of “bringing her back to life”, but this would actually annoy more fans than it would please right now, judging by what most are saying.
We don’t know what the producers are planning exactly, but they should definitely be careful. It shouldn’t be hard to include an announcement of Kensi’s death at some point even if they haven’t planned for that, so hopefully they’re going to use that option if that’s their final goal for her character.
