This quickly changed as the show progressed though, and eventually it became clear that the producers had intended to make it a deeper exposition of their characters from the very beginning.
Hopefully this isn’t going to affect it in terms of the actual crime-related subplots though, as this is of course the primary reason for many people to follow “NCIS” in the first place. Some fans see the character development as an auxiliary element to the plot, and there’s nothing wrong with that, as long as the show manages to deliver on those expectations.
There is no indication that the producers are going to tone down the criminal side of the show anytime soon though, and we’re actually seeing some very interesting plots with this theme recently.
Things have been moving in the military territory to some extent, although the team still has a clear place in the grand scheme of things, and they aren’t left out of the developments. It’s actually not bad to see that the producers are exploring slightly more alternative types of storylines.
Fans of “NCIS: Los Angeles” were worried that the show was moving in the wrong direction some time ago, but thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. In fact, fans’ impressions have been going up recently, and it looks like the producers are definitely on the right track in their work. If they keep up the current tone, that should make the current season even more successful until its end.
