NBC to Get Constantine Season 2 Proposal in One Month!

What’s going on with “Constantine”? Will fans get another season after the first one is over, or will the show be canceled? This question has been roaming around the Internet more and more lately, with many fans of the show trying to find out what its fate is going to be. The thing is though, according to the latest reports, even the producers themselves don’t know if they’ll be lucky enough to continue working on the show in the future.

Currently, they’re scheduled to deliver a pitch for the second season of “Constantine” to NBC at the end of April, and until then, we have no idea what will happen to the show – and neither do its producers. Things have been messy surrounding the show, as it wasn’t extended for anything beyond its first 13 episodes, but the strange part was that it wasn’t immediately canceled either.

Typically, a show will receive notice of its cancellation immediately in these situations, but in the case of “Constantine”, it appears that network executives were actually fond of the show and it had some strong support among them, so they were generally unwilling to pull the plug right away. Ratings of the first season have been somewhat good as well, so there is definitely a good reason to give the show another chance and keep it running for at least one more season.

It’s all up to the producers now to convince the network that they need to extend “Constantine” for a second season. Knowing how successful the show has been so far, it shouldn’t take them that much effort to get the point across, but hopefully they’re going to truly put everything they’ve got into this pitch, as the future of the entire show hinges on it.

The producers have actually been trying to stay in touch with their fans regarding their progress on requesting an extension, and have been very open about the situation. With that in mind, we should know what’s going on with the show as soon as they do, which, according to the current reports, should happen in about a month.

If the show does get cancelled, hopefully it will inspire another production soon. There is a lot of potential still left in the premise of “Constantine” that should definitely be explored in detail, and if NBC don’t want to do that, maybe another network will. Fans of the show will most likely not care what network they have to watch it on, as long as they get to see the same style of production and a similar plot that they can get behind. Hopefully though, it won’t have to get to that point.
