One of the major come-ons of the latest basketball simulation game from 2K Games, “NBA 2K17” is the original Dream Team that played during the 1992 Olympics for the US featuring legendary NBA superstars Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and more.
When the game finally rolled out to the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 3, the Xbox One, the Xbox 360, and the PC on September 20, one of the glitches encountered by gamers is their inability to find the original Dream Team in the game.
2K Games actually made it as a pre-order bonus to gamers but for some reason, the feature was a no-show after the game was officially released last month, especially on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
As such, 2K Games released Patch 1.03 for “NBA 2K17” recently to address the glitch on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, which solved the problem.
According to the patch notes, the problem was indeed solved but there are some who are still missing their Olympic Dream Team, notes iDigital Times.
A huge update
Patch 1.03 is actually a 7GB update and basing on the list of changes and fixes that it brought along, it is indeed quite large.
Other than fixing the issue on the Dream Team, the patch has also updated the Madison Square Garden flooring, along with the court of the Milwaukee Bucks.
The patch also addressed the glitch that happens to substitutions during timeouts. Prior to the patch, substitutions were delayed until the next dead ball when players attempted to make changes.
While these changes are good, the biggest fixes that Patch 1.03 brought along are in MyGM and MyLeague.
Gamers who love MyGm and MyLeague will appreciate 2K adding almost 24 years worth of data for teams, up from just two years worth of information.
In addition, a major pet peeve in a franchise mode is the wacky rotations and lineups. With Patch 1.03, advanced rotations will now reflect recent trades that the player makes so he will not have his new star guard he traded for to come off the bench.
There are plenty of other changes but the updates to MyGM and MyLeague are the ones that many players will enjoy and appreciate.
Earning different badges in the game
“NBA 2K17” has several badges categories including Personality, Playmaking, Defensive, Inside Scoring, Outside Scoring, and Athletic. They are further categorized into Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Players need to collect these badges in order to master the game but in doing so, they need to complete specific tasks. There are 55 total badges to collect or acquire in “NBA 2K17.”
The badges are divided into types, depending on game aspects that players are good at, notes Game & Guide.
For example, for the Personality Badges, the Alpha Dog badge can be earned by obtaining the highest overall team rating. The Spark Plug badge will require a bench player to score at least seven points in a given number of games. The Enforcer badge will require “NBA 2K17” players to do at least 10 hard but non-flagrant fouls in one season.
Championship DNA requires winning one NBA championship, Microwave requires getting two red rings for 10 straight games, and Expressive requires the player to celebrate as soon as the prompt appears.

Meanwhile, those who were able to have played the “NBA 2K17” have noted that the game has redone a lot of player renders to make them really look like their real-life counterparts.
Boston Celtics’ Marcus Smart and the Cleveland Cavalier’s Iman Shumpert have been rescanned with their new hairstyles.
Players who have graphics in their hair looked especially sharp, particularly the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns.
Incidentally, tattoos became an issue for 2K Games after a lawsuit from an artist whose work was featured on the bodies of several prominent NBA players. But it seems that 2K Games managed to get things in order as the virtual players in “NBA 2K17” still have their ink on their respective bodies.
