‘NBA 2K16’ Now More Realistic than Ever After Getting the Most Peculiar Quirks of NBA Players Right!

Game publisher 2K Sports has been saying that the visual and gameplay improvements, new features, and the captivating soundtrack of its upcoming basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K16” are its most superb features when it officially rolls out to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on September 29.

However, based on the trailer of the upcoming game, the latest installment of the “NBA 2K” video game franchise is now more realistic not only because of the improved face scanning feature made by the game developer but also because it got the little things right.

Because of these little things, mostly facial expressions and peculiar quirks of some NBA players that they often do in real life, fans and gamers will get more endeared to the basketball simulation video game, notes Yahoo! Sports.

Some of these peculiar quirks include the dangling mouthpiece on Stephen Curry while he shoots the three, the facial expressions of Hassan Whiteside and Isaiah Austin after making a basket, and recently, the penchant of Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh for video-bombing teammates’ post-game interviews.

Chris Bosh’s antics actually appears in the course of gameplay, adding a little extra touch of non-game animation sprinkled into the trailer as a little red meat for rabid fans to chew on.

Although very minute, these are actually the little things that make the game really worth the time, energy, and money of gamers and makes 2K Sports a critically-acclaimed game publisher.

“NBA 2K16” player ratings

Player ratings for the upcoming basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K16” has been released by 2K Sports, a few days before the official release of the video game on the gaming consoles and the PC and the top 10 roster is still paced by LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a rating of 94, notes ESPN.

NBA reigning MVP Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors made it to the second followed by James Harden of the Houston Rockets, and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Despite an injury-plagued NBA season last year, Kevin Durant is on the top five. Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks and LaMarcus Aldridge of the Dallas Mavericks are two of the three players rounding up the next five players in the Top 10 ratings.

A dominant title

The “NBA 2K” video game series has become the dominant title among basketball video games. The last four editions of the franchise, beginning with “NBA 2K11,” has sold over 4 million copies each. Last year’s “NBA 2K15” sold a whopping 5.8 million copies worldwide.

The game’s quality of construction, graphics, gameplay, and story modes have largely contributed to the continued rise to prominence of the “NBA 2K” franchise.

Late in July, 2K Sports released the list of songs that will be included in the upcoming video game and both fans and game critics are one in saying that when the developer announced that the game will feature the most extensive soundtrack in NBA 2K history, it has certainly lived up to the hype.

The soundtrack of “NBA 2K16” actually features three genre-defining collaborators at the helm including DJ Mustard, DJ Khaled, and DJ Premier.

The music will range from hip-hop to pop rock as well as alternatives. There will also be music from the 80s and 70s as the well as the contemporary hits of today.

Some of the performers for the confirmed tracks on “NBA 2K16” include Selena Gomez and DJ Zedd, Calvin Harris, Jay-Z, Ace Hod, Nas, J. Cole, Fergie, Imagine Dragons, Santigold, and One Republic.
