More than three months after its official release date on the next generation gaming consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4, “NBA 2K15” gamers are still being hounded by glitches and server issues.
The latest edition of the basketball simulation game is the 16th installment of the 2K franchise.
Despite pronouncements from 2K Sports, the game developer, that those have already been addressed as early as November last year, the problems seem to be back and gamers are getting anxious and angry about it.
“NBA 2K15” was simultaneously released on Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and on the PC on October 7, 2014, the same date of release for the first-generation gaming consoles – Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
In order to play the game on a single or multiplayer mode, “NBA 2K15” needs to be online, especially if the player or players want to unlock special content and earn virtual currency, cites Latin Post.
But instead of flawless gameplay, they get to receive messages like this from 2KSupport: “The dev team is continuing to investigate the #NBA2K15 server issues. Thank you for your ongoing patience; we’ll keep you posted.”
And when they do, it is usually met by either groans or air of frustration, or worst, expletives from the foul-mouthed gamers.
Some gamers have become so frustrated with the server connection issues of “NBA 2K15” that one enthusiast actually posted on Twitter, addressed to 2KSupport that he has been experiencing server problems with the game since Day 1.
A hilarious glitch involving Westbrook
The “NBA 2K15” also has several glitches that were once addressed but some new ones cropped off.
Drawing a lot of fun and hilarious laughter is the glitch involving Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook in OKC’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
After receiving the ball from the back court, Westbrook gallops downcourt and makes a coast-to-coast layup. He is fouled and blocked in the process. But here’s the glitch and hilarious part. The foiled ball hits the ground and bounced into the rim a couple of times before dropping in, giving Westbrook an “And One” play.
Not even physics could explain that physically impossible shot so it is clearly a glitch. But a glitch that fans enjoy because of its funny nature.
Locker codes
One of the things that also make “NBA 2K15” gamers want to play online are the locker codes that are just lying around online. Those who are in-the-know are aware that they should act fast to be able to get it.
Locker codes are keys to cheat to be able to have some add-on elements to win in games or get pass through stages.
All they need is to type ALLTIMEGREAT in the locker codes section and this shall give the player 20 special contracts for the MyTeam mode of the video game.
