Maddie is supposed to have moved back home where Rayna is trying to save her ailing ventures. On finding out about Juliette, Rayna sets out on a journey of discovery which is expected to involve a lot of singing.
Much before the cancellation was let out; Herskovitz and Ed Zwick were brought on the sets to take control of the production work of the episodes. They will be steering the plans of action even after the show shifts to CMT. The episodes will be made available on Hulu the very next day which will affirm that the show is not just a soap opera but a serialized drama in its new incarnation.
After having the two members on board for running the project, both confessed to the fact that the set of episodes in this series involve accelerated storytelling which indicates that a lot happens in a short span of time; will be very hard to manage but still doable.
The makers of the series admitted that these changes would have been brought about even the show hadn’t been canceled on ABC. Herskovitz admitted that being at CMT is much better than being at ABC because the current network gives the show a chance to be its self and shine as well.
