“Nashville” is in a strange position right now, and it’s not clear what the future holds for the show. On one hand, it has a pretty active following of fans who appreciate the hard work of the producers, but on the other, there are claims that the current ratings of the show might not be enough to warrant a new season after the current fourth one is over, and this has been worrying some fans. Many people refuse to believe the situation and are convinced that a production like “Nashville” should have good ratings given the kind of attention it enjoys from its fans, but it’s hard to fight facts.
According to many, the series is quite polarizing in its style, and it tends to get some people bored after just a couple of episodes, while others are attracted to it for much longer and end up becoming devout fans. There are undoubtedly lots who fall in the latter category right now, but even their numbers have apparently not been enough to keep ABC happy. What’s going on in season 4 at the moment? Various developments have been on the horizon, and one of the more notable ones is that Hayden Panettiere has returned to the screen. The actress had to take a brief break from the production a few months ago as she was suffering from postpartum depression, and now she’s back on the screen and will return in episode 14 in April. That’s not quite the short-term announcement, admittedly, but fans of the actress should still be happy to know that she’s coming back regardless.
The show definitely hasn’t forgotten her character either, as she commonly gets mentioned on the screen in most episodes, and the producers/writers are putting a lot of effort into keeping her around despite her actual absence from the screen. According to reports, we could see some interesting changes in the character once she’s back on the screen, as she will be shown as a much stronger version of herself, one more capable of handling her life like she should. However, she might be looking for a new place in the story with her new attitude, and we don’t know what the writers could be planning for her in this regard.
On that note, there are also reports that Juliette, her character, and Avery will not get back on good terms once the show resumes. There have been some hopes for that among fans, but the two of them just aren’t going to get along for the time being and we will see them apart on the screen. Avery is the one who doesn’t want to have anything more to do with Juliette, from what we can tell, and that would certainly be disappointing to fans of both characters who have been waiting for Juliette’s return just so they could see that sweet reunion.
Still, Juliette will get to spend plenty of time with Cadence, and that’s at least something fans have been anticipating that will pay off. We don’t know exactly how their relationship is going to be presented once the show returns from its pause, but there is a lot of hope among fans that we are going to see some quality moments between the two of them and that their situation will bring some interesting developments to the show.
