‘Narcos’ Season 2 to Also See the Likely Demise of Slick DEA Agent Javier Pena!

Even the description of the show is no longer concentrated on the life of Pablo Escobar, which the show highlighted too well during its Season 1.

The most exciting news is that despite the impending legal threat being poised by Escobar’s family on Netflix, the streaming service is set to unveil Season 2 of “Narcos” on September 2.

“Narcos” details the gripping real-life stories of the infamous drug kingpins of the late 1980s and corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in a brutal, bloody conflict.

The show also explores the many, often conflicting forces that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world’s most valuable commodities.

Unlike before when only Brazilian actor Wagner Moura as Pablo Escobar is being mentioned whenever articles or stories about “Narcos” are published, the latest promo from Netflix is saying that the TV show shall also star Boyd Holbrook and Pedro Pascal as real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena, respectively.

Jose Padilha and Eric Newman are serving as co-executive producers of the series and they have been promoted following the departure of the third executive producer of “Narcos” right after the Season 1 finale.
