For all we know, the producers might actually have some ideas up their sleeve for continuing the show in a realistic way after the death of Pablo Escobar. That possibility is even implied in the show’s name, according to some – it doesn’t have to be about Escobar exclusively.
To be fair, season 2 could end up focusing on Escobar exclusively and still be successful, as there is a lot left in the drug lord’s story to show on the screen, and the events coming up are actually quite interesting. All the way until the death of the famous boss, we could see plenty of exciting action on the screen. Even though these events have been extensively documented already, it’s still something else to see them depicted in a dramatic way like that.
