Some of the rumors regarding season 2 are focused on this topic exactly – there are claims that the next season of the show could tone down the realism and authenticity a little bit and focus more on dramatic themes and moments of character development.
If that’s true, it could either make the show more successful as a TV production, or drive people away from it once they realize it’s no longer the special series that they once knew and loved.
Things can realistically swing both ways right now, and it’s far too early to make any predictions too. But fans of the show are quite the large crowd and they will certainly keep an active eye on any developments in the production of “Narcos”.
Hopefully the next news we hear about the show is going to be more positive and we certainly hope that the producers are going to figure out a solution to their issues with finding a solid showrunner, and end up pushing this show to the kind of success that it deserves. Season one was very strong and it gave the show a true chance of success, but now things could get messy once the second season arrives and changes are introduced to the formula.
Its a tv show written of already made history I doubt they can f**k that up.
