It’s possible that a new character might be introduced as well, and it’s not like there’s any lack of possible choices in the story surrounding the life of Pablo Escobar. The iconic drug dealer has had various connections in his life and plenty of them have continued to exist after his death.
Plus, it’s very likely that the producers of “Narcos” were well aware of how things would go right from the start, and seeing the popularity of the show, they must have anticipated that something of this sort would happen.
Because of this, we expect that they must have prepared for the event in some way, and they must have a backup plan in mind in case the popularity of the show makes it a bad idea to cancel it prematurely.
As we said above, there are definitely various opportunities that can be utilized in the story at the moment, and it would be surprising if the producers of “Narcos” didn’t already foresee the possibility that the show will get too popular to end after season 2. Let’s just hope that the actual ideas they have in mind won’t compromise the integrity of the show for the sake of keeping its popularity up in an easy manner, like we’ve seen with some other productions before.
