Mr. Robot Season 2 to Take a Different Approach from Pilot Season, Cast Member Says

Sandrine Holt will play Susan Jacobs, an Evil Corp General Counsel who unsuspectingly fits into the hacker society’s plans.

Other cast additions in Season 2 include Michael Maize who will play a Texas native associate of Ray named Lone Star. Dorothy Foz, who will portray Nell, Romero’s mother, and Luke Robertson as RT, Ray’s ex-employee known for his IT skills.

The Christian Post reports that the second season of the award-winning series will continue to focus on the relationship between Elliot and Mr. Robot.

It was revealed in the previous season that Mr. Robot, who also goes by the name of Edward, is actually a phantom of Elliot’s dead father conjured up by the protagonist’s own mind which means he isn’t real.

This revelation brings a whole new dimension to their interactions and will lay the groundwork for an interesting follow-up season.

Showrunner Esmail reveals that now that Elliot is fully aware that Mr. Robot isn’t real, it has opened more doors for more stories to tell and more plotlines to be weaved.

The executive producer admits that they are literally externalizing Elliot’s mentality and his inner conflict.

Esmail adds that while the next 10 episodes will bring up some important issues, it will also reflect relevant real-life issues of today.
