Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, will have upgraded powers on “The Fantastic Four” movie reboot that Marvel shall be releasing to worldwide theaters on August 7.
Aceshowbiz revealed that based on the detailed character biographies of the four superheroes comprising “The Fantastic Four,” all of the characters undergo major transformation after a failed experiment.
Accordingly, Reed Richards can warp the space around him and appear to stretch his body into impossible forms and incredible lengths. In the previous “Fantastic Four” movies, Richards can only stretch his body as the failed experiment made him and his body very elastic.
Richards is a science enthusiast who has been exploring the universe’s deepest mysteries in his garage after school.
The powers of the three
The same report also detailed the transformation powers by the other superhero characters namely Sue Storm, who is the Invisible Woman; Johnny Storm, who is the Human Torch; and Ben Grimm, who is The Thing.
Sue Storm will possess the power to become invisible as well as generate her own force fields to shield herself from being attacked by her opponents or also from being ganged upon by his teammates, in a nice way that is. She is a brilliant, beautiful and independent women who possess wit and sarcasm.
Johnny Storm, whose role was naughtily played by Chris Evans during the first two “Fantastic Four” movie, is the Human Torch. He flies at fast speeds and can really light it up. He can also shoot fireballs to his opponent or on anything he wants. A trouble-maker and a thrill-seeker, Johnny Storm is actually the rock star of “The Fantastic Four.”
Finally there’s Ben Grimm, who is The Thing. He can transform into a powerful and rock-solid stone man that gives him super strength and also becomes indestructible too. As Ben, he is a warm, kind, and a sensitive person despite his not-so-good upbringing.
Although they were all surprised with their super natural abilities, the four were eventually able to control their powers and used it to battle evil forces out to wreak havoc in the planet or destroy earth itself. From then on, they started calling themselves “The Fantastic Four.”

“The Fantastic Four” has been completely rebooted with a new story and an all-new cast to boot. Playing the role of Reed Richards is Miles Teller, Sue Storm is Kate Mara, Johnny Storm is Michael B. Jordan, and Ben Grimm is Jamie Bell. The main villain of the movie is Dr. Doom to be played by Toby Kebbel.
A trailer of the movie has already been released early this year and it really looks dark and grim but promises plenty of action alright.
Helmed by Director Josh Trank, the first trailer of “Fantastic Four” also appeared to have been inspired by Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar.”
