Motorola’s Droid Turbo Is a Solid Offering on the Android Market!

Android used to be associated with low-end phones that didn’t easily impress in the performance department, but that hasn’t been the case for a long time now. And with the announcement of Motorola’s Droid Turbo, it became even more clear that Android devices are very capable of being mobile powerhouses, when developed with the adequate hardware and when the intricate details of the way Android works are kept in mind.

The Motorola Droid Turbo is one beast of a phone, and it’s the perfect solution for those who need their device to offer solid performance for the most demanding of applications. With its 64-bit Snapdragon 805 CPU running at 2.7 GHz on all its four cores, and 3 GB of RAM, and a dedicated GPU running at 600 MHz, this phone will easily run anything you throw its way – multiple times simultaneously, probably.

In addition, the phone offers a beautiful Quad HD AMOLED screen with a high 1440p resolution, more than most other phones offer right now. This makes the device perfect for Internet browsing and multimedia, including watching movies. And with the 3,900 mAh battery, users should be able to easily get up to two days of use, another aspect in which many smartphones continue to disappoint today. The battery can actually measure up to what’s present in some tablet models, but it’s understandable that a phone with such powerful hardware would need a large-capacity battery to keep it properly supplied.

The only part of the Motorola Droid Turbo which leaves some room for improvement is the camera. It’s by no means bad – with 21 megapixels, you wouldn’t expect it to be. But on the other hand, the pictures it takes don’t quite match the quality that a dedicated handheld camera would produce with a 21 megapixel sensor. Of course, it’s a phone, and it has its limitations with regards to how detailed the pictures it takes can be.

Last but not least, the Motorola Droid Turbo seems to be a step up in the physical department, as the phone is obviously designed with durability in mind. This is something that Motorola have apparently wanted to address in their designs recently, as the company has been putting more and more focus on the physical durability of their devices. Which is never a bad thing in today’s world, as smartphones are notoriously bad when it comes to surviving a fall to the pavement.

It’s not a device for everyone, that’s for sure – but power users who know how to fully utilize the hardware packed in the Droid Turbo are going to find themselves with a lot of utility resting in their pockets.
