Customers want to get a device with better specifications and more flexibility, not something virtually identical to what we got two years ago. If the leak was genuine, Motorola should be very careful with the way they’re presenting this device to the market.
They should focus on its improved specifications and not on the visual design, and convince their customers that they are interested in advancing the line beyond the Moto G 2015 as well.
Otherwise, they will have a hard time holding anyone’s attention for too long, and other devices by the same company might end up outperforming the Moto G 2015 and overshadowing it on the market. Which would certainly be a shame, as the Moto G has a good potential in its own market niche.
In any case, it looks like at least Samsung are moving forward steadily and know what they’re doing, but as we said above, those are all leaks and we have no idea if there is any truth to any of them. The following months are going to shed some light on the situation and reveal what the companies are truly preparing. But hopefully, the leak about the Moto G 2015 was either fake or an older one, as it would put the device in an awkward spot.
