Motorola Moto 360 Still Has the Best-Looking Smartwatch Design But Has a Poor Battery Life

The roll out was actually confirmed by Wayne Pierkarski, developer advocate for Google, during a recent post on Google+. He said that the over-the-air updates of the Android Wear 5.1.1 will be coming sporadically to the Motorola Moto 360 over the next few days so he asked users to exercise patience as they will definitely receive the update very soon.

The Android Wear 5.1.1 comes with tons of new features for the Motorola Moto 360. It comes with new gestures for scrolling through cards, and a much more refined contacts and app menu.

The update also brings Wi-Fi support which enables compatible devices to receive notifications provided the Motorola Moto 360 and the user’s smartphone are both connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Motorola has advised owners of Motorola Moto 360 to check the updates manually on their Android Wear by checking the settings of their watch under the System Updates menu. It has likewise encouraged users to provide their feedback on the update once they get to install and experience the Android Wear 5.1.1 on their Motorola Moto 360.

When it was launched in March last year and subsequently released to the retail markets in September 2014 as an Android-based smartwatch, the Motorola Moto 360 carried a retail price of $250. It was offered at a $150 sometime in March this year as part of a time-bound promo, but now the smart wearable is now being retailed in Amazon at $200.

  1. I like the zenwatch and the Urbane better than the 360. I have seenmany other sites say the same thing including Android central. I tried it and took it back. I now have a gwatch R, Sony 3, and Urbane. Soon to add new zenwatch.
