Motorola Moto 360 Gets a Significant Price Reduction!

Motorola have decided to offer the Moto 360 smartwatch more cheaply for now, cutting the device’s price down by about 30%. The deal became an instant hit throughout the Internet, and it quickly became apparent that there were a lot of people who were on the fence about buying a Moto 360, and the price was likely the only thing stopping them so far. At least, that’s the impression one gets after a quick glance at the results from the sale.

The deal also covers the more recently released edition of the watch which has a metal band, and even though that version of the phone remains the more expensive one, it’s still offered at a better price than its original one at the moment. It’s not known how long exactly this deal will last for, as it’s listed as “until stocks last” – so interested buyers who have been thinking about getting a Moto 360 on their wrists might want to think fast right now.

It’s a pretty good deal even at its standard price, according to most critics, as the Moto 360 offers a 1.56 inch display with backlighting and a resolution of 320x290p, and it comes with various customization options and tweaks for the operating system. Users can choose between a light or dark case made out of stainless steel, and there is also an option for a leather band offered in either black or grey.

A 320 mAh battery powers everything, and while it might seem small, it’s also worth noting that this watch needs very little power with its 512 MB of RAM and TI OMAP 3 processor. At the same time, it’s powerful enough to offer a smooth Android Wear experience, and users have been reporting great overall functionality for the operating system and a bug-free experience.

It’s also a great offer for the health-conscious among interested buyers, as it’s one of the smartwatches that come with an integrated activity tracker, which also supports heartrate monitoring. It’s also obviously made for some more serious activities as well, with water resistance and an overall rugged and durable external design which should prove adequate in harsh conditions. Of course, it’s not a device that can withstand a more serious hit from the looks of it, but it’s still not as delicate as most devices with a touchscreen out there.

Those who want to pair their Moto 360 with a smartphone won’t need to use a Motorola phone specifically, as the watch supports any Android device running version 4.3 or above of the operating system. It also needs Bluetooth 4.0 for communication, which shouldn’t be a problem for most smartphone owners nowadays.
