Amid all the negativity Motorola has been getting because of the Droid Turbo’s failure to keep up with the latest OS update, reports are surfacing that the company might roll out two new devices this year. The internet has been buzzing that the latest offerings from the manufacturer was spotted at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to be cleared for release in the US anytime soon.
Following the announcement of Droid Turbo getting the Lollipop fix, rumors also spread that the smartphone’s successor had already been sent to FCC, with some even going as far as noting the specific gadget ID allegedly being IHDT56UB1. It was later confirmed to be the ID of the new Droid Turbo mini.
Motorola is perhaps not keen on releasing any information as it is still mum about its latest offerings. With this, consumers are looking forward for the brand’s upcoming event happening on July 28, where it is expected to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the Moto X 2015, and possibly Droid Turbo’s new successor.
Leaked images and more details of Motorola’s newest offerings have been plaguing social media, but the closest one with confirmation comes from the report of Ecumenical News which stated that the tech company plans to bring in at least four new phones including the third generation Moto X, the Moto G 2015, the next Droid Turbo model believed to be a better and improved version of the current edition, and the Droid mini.
Talking about what’s coming up for Droid , what about what went down for all those who downloaded the new anticipated Lollipop program making their phone a not so sweet item anymore. Now they need to wait til their contract is
up to get a new phone with the features they wanted this time around. Verizon should make good for their failed promises to their customers now that got burned by false promises.
I can’t imagine what might be going on with other DROID Turbos, as mine works incredibility well after the 5.1 update. I have no problem with LTE speeds, no battery problems, in fact, battery performance has upticked a bit. It doesn’t get as hot as it did with KitKat either…. I sympathize with others and any problems they may be having, as this is the nicest Android phone I’ve used and I’ve used several over the years. I would say to Moto, bring on 5.1.1 already!
if you call motorola, forget it. my phone it still under warranty. i got no where after installing lollipop.
I downloaded the 5.1 on my turbo and it is working fine. I use it around 16-20 hours a day non stop. Turbo charging still works perfect, internet is fine. The phone has been better since the update.
I was just online with Motorola global tech support and they are exchanging my “lollipop” ruined phone with a “like new” droid turbo for no charge. I am so happy. The next OS is total garbage. Kills my battery and you can’t silence the phone with just the side volume button. Over-engineered. I’ll take a refurb with KitKat all day after lollipop killed the best phone I ever had. Just need to make sure to disable auto OS updates…
I got brand new droid turbo in Sept. On Nov. 12 I went in to Verizon CB my calls were not showing up, they reset it, with in 2 weeks it was happening again so on Dec. 8 I took it in again, they changed out SIM card within 2 days if I did not reset my phone every 12 hours I was going through 18 new v.m. I didn’t know existed, I missed out on 3 job opportunities during this and calls from my kids schools. I went in yesterday my 2 options were go at least a week without a phone while they sent me a refurbished that if still be paying same amount on after being exasperated with this my other option was to pay off the $400 on the droid and get $80 trade toward another phone that hopefully works.. Not a droid..I’m sad because I am feeling very screwed over and I really did like my droid… I can’t believe these people can sleep at night ?
