Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Gets an Exclusive Star Wars Edition Makeover!

Some of Motorola’s smartphones have been confirmed to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. As per Phandroid, Motorola released a list of smartphones that can be upgraded to the latest OS.

It includes the Moto G (2015), the 2014 editions of Moto X, Moto G and Moto E, Droid Maxx as well as the Turbo Droid and Turbo Droid 2 will reportedly get the Marshmallow update.

An interesting entry is the 2015 Moto E which was initially thought to be excluded despite being launched this year.

As nice as Motorola’s news is for the 2015 Moto E, there apparently is a catch. According to International Business Times, the update only applies, as of now, to smartphone models outside the U.S.

This means those in Motorola’s home country won’t be getting it yet, but Motorola users in Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Asia minus China will be getting it.

However, US users of the 2015 Moto E can, of course, expect changes from the tech firm as soon as they roll out the Marshmallow update on the device.

There’s no information from Motorola yet on when the exact date the Marshmallow update will be available, but Motorola is moving quite fast as their current flagship phone, the Moto X Pure Edition, is already up to date with its operating system.
