Mortal Kombat has been around for many years. Many serious gamers that are older than 30 are going to remember the first time the game to gaming consoles and arcades all over the world. According to one source, the game was developed back in 1992 and since then has seen plenty of changes due to the advancements in gaming technology. The last time a version was released was last July with Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition. Warner Brothers has owned the game development team since Midway went bankrupt back in 2011.
The series is well known with just about any type of gamer around the world and is most noted for its high levels of violence and blood spewing “fatality” moves that players can use with the character they choose to play with. Finishing Moves quickly become the most popular part of the game right next to the characters that you could fight with. With character names like Johnny Cage, Cyrax, Goro, Kano, Rain, Reptile, Smoke and Sub-Zero just to name a few, young gamers all over the globe had plenty of options to choose from.
It is possible that the tenth version of the popular video game could be released later this year, but it is more than likely going to fall onto the market next April. According to online sources that is the date that was mentioned more than once by Warner Brothers up to this point. The game is expected to be released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC.
For now, those that have been waiting long enough to see any good, confirmed information about the game are starting to get what they want. Leaked artwork and a video were posted to the internet recently. The artwork shows what the game cover is going to look like and the video is about 30 minutes long and shows different characters in battle mode showing the different variations of fighting. The gameplay is showing what the game will look like when played on the PS4/Xbox one console.
The fighting variations that are shown in the video bring a fresh feeling to the game and the combat system. There will be more of a need for a strategic combat compared to years ago when you just chose the best character, did the same move all the time and never got beat. Because the video was released so early, the final gameplay could change by the time April rolls around.
The game is being called one of the most violent ever, but the director of art that is working on Mortal Kombat X says that it is “beautiful brutality” and that has a lot to do with the next-gen technology that makes graphics that much better.
