Modders Add Extra Features to Super Smash Bros Brawl, Game Continues to Rival Super Smash Bros 4 in Popularity!

Just because a sequel comes out in a popular franchise doesn’t mean that the old games have to be automatically forgotten – and in some cases it can take quite a while for them to die out, as is the case with “Super Smash Bros”. Even though “Super Smash Bros 4” has been out for a while now, the previous installment in the series is still enjoying a lot of popularity, to the extent that some players are still actively modding it in order to give fans new content to enjoy, and give them more reasons to come back to the title.

Most recently, we saw several characters from “Dragon Ball Z” included as new fighters in the game, implemented by popular modders in the Brawl community with the help of “Dragon Ball Z” fans. This is not the first time we’re hearing about this, as there have been various rumors about the project circulating the Internet, but we never got to see any official confirmation of it at first.

For the last several months though, the developers of the mod have been very active in keeping their fans up to date on their work, and they’ve been posting various videos on YouTube showing their progress and how far along they’ve come in implementing the various “Dragon Ball Z” characters.

These videos managed to attract fans from both fan bases, making them highly successful on YouTube and giving the developers a solid platform to base their work on. They have built a large following of fans, and now it looks like the actual release of the mod is going to justify the huge hype surrounding its development, as their progress is coming along quite nicely.

The latest video posted by the project’s developers showed Cell and Teen Gohan in the arena, and Gohan will actually have his famous finishing moves fully implemented, much to the excitement of many fans of the franchise.

Super Smash Bros 4

This game is the last title that will be available on handheld consoles, making it particularly important in the hearts of fans of the franchise. It still enjoys a lot of popularity and it likely isn’t going to die down soon, especially with so much activity from its community. Players have actually been responsible for the game’s long lifetime to a large extent, as Nintendo have already moved on to other titles in the franchise and aren’t supporting it as actively as its own community. The new game is enjoying a lot of popularity as well though, so it’s not a bad release in any way.
