Season 6 of the American reality TV series “Mob Wives” on VH1 will premiere on January 13 and viewers should expect lots of drama as the original cast members return and highlight their love-hate relationships in addition to surprising revelations.
“Mob Wives” chronicles the story of a group of Staten Island women after their family members were arrested and imprisoned for crimes connected to the Mafia.
Last month, prior to the Season 6 premiere, VH1 announced its decision that it shall no longer be renewing the show for Season 7 and that the upcoming sixth season will be the show’s last hurrah.
“Mob Wives” Season 6 premiere will see the reunion of Angela ‘Big Ang’ Raiola, Drita D’Avanzo, Karen Gravano, Carla Facciolo, and Renee Graziano, together with the new girls Marissa Jade Fiore and Brittany Fogarty, details the Christian Post.
The focus of the show shall reportedly about loyalty as the friends get reunited. As in the previous seasons, the family would again be the center of the plotlines as the women deal with their own issues at home.
In the latest trailer of the TV show released by VH1 recently, Karen Gravano was quoted as saying that it is always the ones that she proved her loyalty to who are the ones that want to stab her in the back.
Full of intense scenes
Based also on the teaser trailer of “Mob Wives” Season 6, the TV series shall be full of intense scenarios as the women engage in heated cat fights after grudges start to re-emerge and lines have been crossed.
However, the teaser also highlights the good memories of the original cast members. Drita D’Avanzo is also seen giving more focus on the reunion of the group by saying that it really feels great to have the group back together again and in a good place, details the Latin Post.
The trailer also touched on Big Ang’s health after she was diagnosed during the previous season as having a throat cancer. In fact, some of the previous episodes during Season 5 also featured her undergoing medical treatments.
Justifying her return to the TV series, Carla Facciolo explained why they decided to come back to “Mob Wives” when she said that she honestly thinks that she, Drita, Karen, and Renee were the four originals who started the show.
She added that they are like the girls of “Sex and the City” and that if they change those girls and them on “Mob Wives,” viewers will no longer watch the shows. She is proud to say that they were the ones who brought the show together and she thinks that the four of them have such rich history that people really want to see.
A journey of exploration
Show producer Jennifer Graziano said that the six-season run of “Mob Wives” has been a journey of exploration for all of the women in the show and she is proud to say that they have all identified who they are outside of a world that once defined them.
She added that it was her pleasure to work so closely with people she grew up with and called family and actual family. Jennifer says that not many people are afforded the opportunity to do what they love with people they love.
Graziano also expressed her gratitude to VH1, The Weinstein Company, Electus, and Left/Right for an amazing show and journey that they all took together. She ended her message by cheering to the future for all. Jennifer is the sister of Renee, who is also a cast member of “Mob Wives.”
Season 5 of “Mob Wives” introduced a new friend to the wives in the person of Natalie DiDonato. Victoria Gotti also made a special guest appearance as well.
