Mission: Impossible 6 May Be Tom Cruise’s Last Entry in the Series, Rumors Say!

“Mission: Impossible” managed to become a synonym for explosive action and thrilling spy drama over the last years, and ever since the franchise launched it’s been enjoying a lot of attention from all sides. The last installment was just as good as people expected it to be, if not more – it managed to quickly score lots of positive reviews and there has been a lot of discussion about it, as people love to point out the various elements of the new film that they particularly enjoyed.

And now that “Mission: Impossible 5” has been out for a while and the dust has settled, people are already looking forward to the next installment. Some fans of the films believed that this was going to become a long-running franchise with Tom Cruise reportedly planning many more sequels in the future; however, the most recent reports seem to indicate the opposite, and it looks like the sixth film might put an end to the entire franchise.

And though this came as a disappointment to many fans of the franchise, it’s also understandable – it’s not very realistic to expect Tom Cruise to keep making more of these films forever, especially seeing as how the actor has aged a bit since the very first film in the series, and he’s probably not as agile and flexible as he was back then.

Still, the rumor claims that ending the franchise with “Mission: Impossible 6” is not 100% guaranteed right now, and there might be a possibility for a seventh film. But for all intents and purposes, fans should brace themselves for an end to the series after the sixth film is out. And if that happens, we may see a very unique and special installment that’s much more impressive than any of the other films that came out before it.

Currently, we at least know for sure that “Mission: Impossible 6” is happening, as the project was approved a long time ago, before the fifth film was even made. Tom Cruise is obviously planning ahead when it comes to developing one of the most exciting and popular film franchises of all time, and it’s good to see that he’s also thinking about the future and doesn’t just make these films with a short-term vision.

Many critics have pointed out that it would be a smart move to release at least one more film at this point, as “Mission: Impossible 5” performed very well in the box office and it left the clear implication that people want to see even more of this type of film in the future. How much longer the franchise will be able to enjoy this kind of popularity is hard to say, but it’s at least worth trying to take advantage of its current situation in any case.

In fact, some critics are expecting the sixth film to perform even better once it’s out, and there are definitely lots of people focused on it and patiently waiting to see what Tom Cruise has prepared.

Mission Impossible 6

There is about a year left to go until then, as the film is currently scheduled for a release in 2016. This might seem like a bit of a hasty production schedule, but if the movie was already planned in detail before the fifth one entered its production, it makes sense that Tom Cruise and the rest of the team already know what they want to achieve with it.
