There haven’t been any direct claims about a “M:I 6” right now, but it’s far too early to talk about that. We have no doubts that Tom Cruise is already considering the sequel after he saw the success of the current production, but he will probably want to take some time and reassess his ideas before doing that.
Plus, for now, he’s still profiting strongly from the current “Mission: Impossible 5” too, so his mind is probably a bit too occupied to think about a sequel right now.
Maybe in a few months we’ll start hearing rumors about the next film in the franchise, but we definitely don’t expect Tom Cruise to start talking about it anytime soon, at least not before he has a concrete idea about the plot and style of the new film.
The actor likes to keep his work a secret for as long as possible before announcing what he’s doing, and he usually only showcases his works when they’re close to completion. But we wouldn’t be surprised if we started seeing leaked pictures of Cruise performing even more exciting, explosive stunts after a couple of years. And from then on, whether he admits it or not, fans will know that he’s working on yet another sequel to one of the favorite franchises of film lovers in quite a long time.
