Minecraft Story Mode Episode 8 Released by TellTale, A Journey’s End Is a Great Story in Itself!

Minecraft: Story Mode’s final eighth episode is currently available for download on all supported Android devices through an in-app purchase. As the title, ‘A Journey’s End’ suggests, this is the last episode of Minecraft Story Mode’s first season.

Meanwhile, TellTale Games hasn’t revealed whether the next season is in the making. However, because the studio originally planned five episodes and later increased it to eight, it is certain that people are enjoying this series.

In the final episode, the story follows Harper and his group of adventurers who are currently traveling to the Old Builders’ World to work on a quest that sends them back home. Besides the traditional adventuring experience, the episode comes with gladiatorial games along with some interesting stuff which puts a twist on the well-known formula of TellTale games.

If you don’t have an adventure or Season Pass for the game, the final episode can be purchased for 4.99 dollars. The game is well-optimized and will work on all modern devices. The minimum system requirements are 1GB RAM and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. When it comes to the GPU, an Adreno 300 or a Mali-T600 will be good enough.

If you finish Minecraft Story Mode and still want some more TellTale-made mobile games, there are plenty of them on the Play Store to choose from. The popular studio is presently offering the first two seasons of The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead series, Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands.

Besides that, TellTale will soon launch a similar Batman Adventure Game and the first episode will debut on Play Store by the end of this year.

In case you don’t care a lot about the adventure genre and desire your daily dose of Minecraft-flavoured entertainment, you can always go back to the original game. Microsoft’s Mojang is regularly updated with new content fixes and additions which always make the game feel fresh and new.

Here’s the ending story in detail. Jesse and co. made their way back to the Portal Hallway, accompanied by Old Builder Harper and Redstone Heart of PAMA in tow. Harper takes them to the hidden staircase which leads directly to the Old Builder’s Atlas.

It is a map that will take them directly to the portal and straight back home. However, everything is not that easy. It seems like they will need to convince the old builders to hand it over, and from the looks of it, she is one of the nicer ones.

It doesn’t take long for the story to get ready, assembling a dystopian setting where habitants face against each other in gladiatorial games to succeed in going back to their world. The story quickly establishes the Old Builders as some of the most easily unlikable villains in the game. You will find and interact with more interesting characters.

Minecraft Story Mode Episode 8

At one point, Nell talks about ‘epic-loafage’ as well. There is some ‘Oh! Minecraft’ moments in the last episode and it includes an early sequence where the gang has to take part in a fiercely intense game of Spleef. In Spleef, players will have to stand on a one-block thick raised platform and fight to excavate the floor from below one another.

There are other players bombarding you with TNT from above. The sequence provides a great dramatization of standard Minecraft gameplay where some fun PvP turns into a brutal fight to the death when witnessing it from the character’s POV.
