Ukrainian actress Milla Jovovich is already back to her pre-baby body just months after giving birth to her second daughter Dashiel on April 1, with husband Paul W.S. Anderson.
In fact, she is now in Cape Town, South Africa with her husband Paul, making some pre-production work before they start filming for the sixth and final film of the “Resident Evil” movie franchise officially titled “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” which shall reportedly begin production in September.
Milla will be back to play the lead role Alice while Paul will return to the director’s chair to helm the final movie of the series.
On August 12, Milla was spotted doing a hike in one of the mountainous trails of Cape Town along with some friends, apparently to put herself in fighting shape in time for the filming of “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.”
The blue-eyed 39-year-old beauty was seen wearing clingy leggings, two tank tops, and a padded gray jacket. She also wore her brunette hair pulled back in a ponytail while wearing black-rimmed glasses.
Friendly hiker
The Ukrainian mother of two was noticeably very friendly on the famous Lion’s Head mountain hike trail as she calmly overtook the slower hikers. She also greeted and shook hands with many resident hikers who knew who she was.
The surprising part was that she was recognized by those people despite her attempt to go as inconspicuous as possible by not wearing any makeup, putting on eyeglasses, and suiting up in a casual attire, details the Daily Mail.
Although the weather was very chilly, Milla has had enough for the day as she looked flushed after the hike from the exertion and the leg work.
The mountain hike is apparently part of her training session, which is meant to put her back in fighting form as her character Alice would most likely have a lot of actions in “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.” Milla personally confirmed that the hike was part of her training session when he shared a photo on her Twitter account showing her stretching and warming up her muscles before the hike.
She captioned the image with stretching before a super intensive training session. She also extended her gratitude to a friend for sending her the awesome and light as air rubber shoes to help her out during the hike. Subsequently, Milla posted another panoramic photo of the town nestled against the hillside and ocean.
Looking forward to reprising their roles
In addition to Milla Jovovich returning as the iconic Alice in the sixth and final “Resident Evil” film, Ali Larter shall also be joining her and will also be reprising her role as Claire Redfield, notes Venture Capital Post.
Ali Larter’s Claire character was last seen in “Resident Evil: Afterlife” shown in 2010. Her character is based on Capcom video games as Chris Redfield’s sister and is a protagonist herself in subsequent video games about the series. Claire is a strong-willed zombie apocalypse survivor turned vigilante and a member of the fictional non-government human rights organization called TerraSave. Their group provides medical aid and protection from bioterrorism which the Umbrella Corporation is sowing.
A few days ago, Milla posted a photo on her Instagram account showing what appeared to be developments for “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.” She captioned it by saying that the moment that many people have been waiting for is finally here, adding that it is time again for the zombie-killing season for the Jovovich-Anderson clan.
She also explained that she was already getting her face cast made for the upcoming film. She went on to say that she will be leaving for South Africa the following day to prepare for the filming of the movie.
Those who are familiar with the “Resident Evil” movie series know that Alice is an ex-employee of the corrupt pharmaceutical company called Umbrella Corporation which unleashed the lethal T-virus during an experiment.
Umbrella Corporation endowed Alice with superhuman abilities having discovered that she is immune from the virus. Alice sets out to fight against the Red Queen, the Umbrella Corporation’s computer system, in order to protect humanity from total annihilation.
“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” will reportedly pick up following the events of the fifth film of the franchise titled “Resident Evil: Retribution” which was shown in 2012.
Milla and husband Paul planned to shoot the film as early as last year, but it got delayed due to the actress’ pregnancy for their second child. The couple already has a seven-year-old daughter named Ever.
“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” is due for release to worldwide theaters on September 2, 2016. It was initially planned to premiere on September 2, 2014, but was moved due to script and casting considerations.
Preparations for the production of the movie began last month with principal filming set to commence next month in Cape Town, South Africa. The movie is also slated to film in other locations including Queensland in Australian, Berlin in Germany, Moscow in Russia, Ontario in Canada, New York City, among others.
In addition to Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter, the movie will also star Wentworth Miller and Bingbing Li among a host of actors.
Wow, that’s all great, good to hear, I can’t wait, I’m so freaking exciting for The 6th RE Movie, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
