Miley Cyrus celebrated her 24th birthday on November 23 full of love and a huge ring on her finger. The former Disney star received a colorful new ring from her fiancé Liam Hemsworth as a birthday gift.
The huge gold bling is studded with multi-colored stones apt for the singer’s style, which she wore on the middle finger of her left hand.
“The Hunger Games” actor took to Instagram to share a photo of the birthday girl showing an unopened box decorated with colorful hearts, flowers, smiley faces, stars, moons, and a unicorn.
Miley also posted more shots on her social media page, including a collage showing off her present. The “Wrecking Ball” singer was also treated to a bouquet of pink and yellow flowers, plus star-shaped balloons featuring smiley faces.
On her Instagram, she thanked her fiancé for the surprise and appreciated the efforts Liam had put into for her present. She also adds that this is her best birthday ever.
Speaking last month on “Ellen,” the “Hannah Montana” alum said that she doesn’t really prefer to wear gold or diamond jewelry as it doesn’t suit her style and nature. She likes to complete her look with costume jewelry.
The “Party in the USA” songstress stated that most of her jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy, which is why her fiancé’s birthday gift is the perfect addition to her growing collection.
Talking about her Neil Lane 3.5-karat engagement ring on “Ellen,” Cyrus says that it’s not really her aesthetic, but she’ll wear it because Liam loves her.
The two first met on the set of the film “The Last Song” in 2009 and started dating since then. Liam originally popped the question to Miley in 2012, which was when she originally began sporting her engagement ring, but the couple parted ways in 2013.
The duo rekindled their relationship late last year after reports surfaced that Cyrus had been spending more time with the Hemsworths in Australia.
Reports suggest that the two made up in time for Christmas when Miley flew to Australia to celebrate the holidays with Liam. Miley has also been spotted wearing her engagement ring since.
Until late this year, the couple did not confirm nor deny that they were back together. However, most of their family and friends have said that they are happy seeing what the two are doing now.
In an interview with GQ, Liam said that there’s no denying how they feel about each other. He adds that he’s certain that people know about it.
In July, the couple somehow confirmed their relationship through Instagram. Last month, they made their first and a rare public appearance together, attending Variety’s Power of Women luncheon, where the “Adore You” singer was honored.
Earlier this month, the couple joined several friends and family members and got dressed up to attend Luke Hemsworth’s 80s-themed 36th birthday party.
Rumors have been spreading that the two have secretly tied the knot, but these were denied immediately. The pair has since set up their home together in Malibu.
While neither has confirmed their plans to walk down the aisle, reports suggest that the couple has already picked a wedding venue.
Reports suggest that the two have decided not to host a grand celebration and will even ask their guests to not give them gifts and instead, donate it to a charity of their choice.
Miley is the founder of Happy Hippie Foundation, an organization that rallies young people, especially the LGBT community, to fight injustice in the society, while Liam is the ambassador of the Australian Childhood Foundation.
