Miley Cyrus could not hide her annoyance to new US President Donald Trump firmly believing that the new Chief Executive will just curtail citizen’s freedom to express themselves regardless of their race.
Among the key issues that sparked Miley’s anger to Trump is his alleged negative opinion on the LGBT community.
There was a report confirming that Donald Trump consistently disagrees with same-sex marriage that was already approved by the US Supreme Court last year and he was even quoted as saying that he supports anti-LGBT groups.
As part of his campaign, Trump has been saying that he is a traditional man and supports domestic partnership benefits, emphasizing the union between a man and a woman.
This position is one of Cyrus’ many reasons for opposing Trump and she has been despising him all the more. She said that she is worried about what Trump could possibly do for the country, believing that the new president could actually make things worse for the country.
The 24-year-old singer has been reported to be tying the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth but she has said that there will be no wedding bells happening until Trump steps down from his office.
It is either that Miley Cyrus is waiting for Trump to resign, which seems unlikely to happen, or get beaten in the next election, four years from now.
Initially, it was reported that the “Party in the USA” singer made a decision that she will leave her own country if Donald Trump wins the US presidency.
But she did not keep her promise. Instead, Cyrus decided to stand strong with her belief and continue fighting the system and norm, which Trump plans to change.
Cyrus decision not to marry Liam during the Trump presidency is her way of taking a stand against the new US President.
It also shows that she has no respect or love lost for Trump whom she believes could ruin the US during his four-year tenure in the White House, reports the Inquisitr.
It can be remembered that Cyrus and Hemsworth have reportedly purchased a luxurious house and property South of Byron Bay in Australia and the couple is set to marry each other soon.
The initial plan of their marriage has been rumored to happen over the summer of 2016. However, it was postponed due to the hectic work commitments of both Hemsworth and Cyrus,
Miley has recently been signed for NBC’s singing reality competition show “The Voice” alongside Alicia Keys, Adam Levin, and Blake Shelton.
From the rumored wedding between Miley and Liam, it seems that there would be another long postponement because she does not believe that they could ever live a good life shuttling to and from the US and Australia while Trump sits in the Oval Office.
Thus, it seems likely that the “Can’t Be Tamed” singer will remain single in the next four years and fans will get to see her actively participating in protest rallies against Trump.
