Miley Cyrus has been going through some difficult times lately, not just in her career – which took a very strange turn – but also her private life, as she’s apparently been struggling to get over her first big love, Liam Hemsworth. After the two of them split up, lots of rumors started going around claiming that they had a very bad falling out and that they wanted nothing to do with each other anymore. However, it may turn out that this is not quite true – according to Cyrus herself, at least, who claimed that she’s still very close to her ex.
What she specifically said was that the two of them were still actively talking to each other and had feelings towards one another – but they were also apparently putting on a public show to display some negativity between themselves, because they believe that this is what their fans want to see. Is fake drama really the best way to go about improving one’s popularity? We can’t really say, but it is true that there has been a lot of discussion about Miley Cyrus and her ex in the media lately, so there may be something to that.
Cyrus has been the subject of a lot of speculation lately regarding her love life, as she is apparently in the process of exploring her sexuality and figuring out what she wants, and she might have discovered that she’s lusting after something slightly different than what she used to have. Some time ago, she identified herself as pansexual, although we don’t know if she’s planning to actually do something in this regard or if it was yet another one of her many publicity stunts.
She did sound a bit annoyed by the way the media has been portraying her life with Stella Maxwell, claiming that news sites always try to twist their stories to generate more views, and as soon as she starts spending some more time with a certain person, they inevitably get called out for being in a relationship.
There does seem to be some truth to that as well, as it’s definitely a noticeable trend in some publications that people have been trying to pin various relationships on Miley Cyrus based just on her random public appearances with certain people. And we can only imagine how annoying this must be for someone who’s just trying to get on with their life and career and make something good out of her current situation.
For the time being, Miley has been working on some new pieces, which she described as more aggressive and “raw” than what her fans are used to, but it’s all part of her natural progression into the industry. She seems to be putting her old style behind her at this point, and we can probably expect to see some radical changes in the way Cyrus carries herself in public in the future, especially if she also decides to focus more on her new musical style.
She also briefly compared herself to Taylor Swift in terms of the music she’s been releasing, but was quick to point out that she didn’t mean anything too specific with that analogy, and she only used it because Swift is so popular right now and it’s easier to relate to her current standing in the music industry and society as a whole. Of course, many of her fans were quick to point out the comparison and discuss it.
